Our Mission

The mission of the Mar Lee School District is to provide all students diverse educational programs with emphasis on basic skills and life skills.  Student self-esteem and a positive and stimulating environment  are necessary components to prepare students for our changing world.  Students are our number one priority.

Why Mar Lee?

From its beginning in the merger of eight one-room schoolhouses, Mar Lee School has preserved a tradition of attention to the individual student in a nurturing and supportive environment. Mar Lee school was founded in 1963 when small schoolhouses in the southern Michigan townships of Marengo and Lee were merged at the present campus.

Mar Lee provides a strong academic foundation from Kindergarten through eighth grade. The school provides a well rounded education, focusing on participation, service, and responsibility. Mar Lee’s success is demonstrated in the strong performance of students in the state assessment program and in the outstanding performance of its graduates at the high school level.
